Normally, the Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo is tolerable even for those with sensitive scalps. However, the longer you leave the shampoo on the scalp, the more intense the effect of the Caffeine. This can increase the risk of scalp redness for sensitive scalps. Therefore, it is important to pay close attention to how your scalp reacts when you leave the product on longer. Normally, 2 minutes should be enough to energize the hair.

In our research, it was demonstrated that the sufficient amount Alpecin Caffeine can be detected in the hair after 120 seconds of application time which means there is no need to leave the product in for longer.

You can easily combine the Caffeine DMG Shampoo and the Caffeine DMG Serum, but it's not absolutely necessary to use both products at the same time.

What's crucial is that your hair and scalp receive a daily dose of DMG + Caffeine.

We recommend using the shampoo on days when you wash your hair and the serum on days when you don't.

To return an item, please email customer service at shop-us@alpecin.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. After receiving a RMA number, place the item securely in its original packaging and the return form provided, and mail your return to the following address:
