There is a difference in charge between the hair and the brown pigments. The hair (-) and the pigments (+) are attracted almost like a magnet. More and more pigments attach to the hair surface with each wash. This magnetic colour effect is subtle and only becomes more intense with regular use. It gradually washes out when normal shampoo is used.
The Alpecin Tuning Caffeine Shampoo and the Alpecin Tuning Conditioner have been specially developed for use on brown hair. The brown pigments keep brown hair dark and thus protect your hair colour from fading. If you start early enough, the first grey hairs will not become visible until later.
The caffeine complex additionally prevents hereditary hair loss.
The Alpecin Tuning Brown products are suitable for daily use with brown hair. The pigments build up on the hair with each wash. This magnetic colour effect becomes more intense with regular use and gradually washes out when normal shampoo is used.
That depends on the condition of your hair and the amount of grey. Leave the brown Tuning Caffeine Shampoo Brown in for 2 to 5 minutes and then rinse it out thoroughly. The longer you leave it in, the stronger the magnetic colour effect. Use the Tuning Conditioner afterwards to achieve an even deeper brown.

The Tuning products from Alpecin are not a colouration or permanent hair dye and, as such, can be used without any fear of discolouration. Shampoo and conditioner residue should be rinsed off carefully after use to rule out discolouration of the scalp and hands.
To avoid discolouration of surfaces or fabrics, remaining shampoo should be thoroughly rinsed off.
Right after rinsing out the shampoo, the Alpecin Tuning Conditioner is applied evenly to wet hair and massaged in. Leave the conditioner in for 2 to 5 minutes and then rinse out thoroughly.
